October General Meeting TUESDAY 6pm before Education Forum 7pm

BCO Education Forum

Burr - Drummond - CICS Charter - Pulaski - St. Marys

Tuesday, October 21st, 2008
7pm - 9pm  (Presentations begin 7pm sharp!)
CICS Bucktown Elementary School Auditorium
2235 N. Hamilton

Have a child approaching school age?   Don't want to buy a minivan and move to the suburbs?   Bucktown has several Elementary schools that are worth considering.   You can spend dozens of hours doing the research yourself or you can join us at the BCO Education Forum and get all the information you need in one night.

We start the first hour with a presentation by a representative of Chicago Public Schools-  Magnet Schools, Attendance Boundaries, Lotteries, Siblings, Gifted Programs- they will all be covered.   We follow this with presentations by the Principals of each and every Bucktown Elementary school - Burr, Drummond, CICS Bucktown Charter School, Pulaski, and St. Marys.

The second hour will be open for one-on-one questioning.   On hand will be Principals, Teachers and Parent representatives from each school.   Get a feel for what the school is about from the Principals and Teachers.  Ask parents how they like the school.   All in one place - one night.

If you have a young child you will not spend a better two hours this year!
