Scoop the Poop Program

Bucktown has a poop problem. We are out to fix it.

The BCO is working to lower the amount of feces on our sidewalks and in our parkways by making sure there are poop bag dispensers throughout the neighborhood. The bags are free to use to anyone who needs one and volunteers make sure the dispensers stay full.

Starting in the Spring of 2026 we will be testing with 15 dispensers throughout the neighborhood.

How to Be Part of the Program

To host a dispenser, you need to:

  1. Be an active BCO member

  2. Check the dispensers to make sure they are full

  3. Let us know when dispensers need refilling

That’s it. We take care of the rest! No cost to the host. No setup.
