As a not-for-profit neighborhood group, we rely on fundraising, dues, and donations to sustain our local initiatives and efforts.

Here are a few things we have done over the past year:

  • Through the Education Committee, the BCO donated $3,000 to each of our three neighborhood CPS schools (Pulaski, Burr, and Drummond)
  • Helped neighbors enjoy the pool more, by funding the installation of new deck chairs at the Holstein Park pool.
  • Continued to support public art by sponsoring artwork for local green space
  • Kept Bucktown the “greenest neighborhood in Chicago” by hosting a park clean up project on Earth Day. (And we’re doing it again this year! Join us!)
  • Helped neighbors have a night out together by organizing and sponsoring neighborhood Movies in the Park. (see the 2017 schedule and volunteer to help!)
  • Educated neighbors on important issues at an Education Forum at one of our neighborhood schools

Please consider donating to the Bucktown Community Organization today; we appreciate any amount!
